In a sweeping diplomatic response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26, India on Wednesday announced five major measures against Pakistan. These include suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, closing the Attari-Wagah border, banning Pakistani nationals from entering India under the SAARC visa scheme, expelling military advisors from both High Commissions, and reducing diplomatic staff to 30. The attack, claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), targeted tourists at Baisaran meadow in Kashmir. Prime Minister Modi cut short a foreign visit to lead the response. Home Minister Shah visited the site and met victims’ families, signaling India’s firm stance against cross-border terrorism. (PC: PTI)
