Following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 tourists, reports have emerged of threats to Kashmiri students and traders across states like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah confirmed coordination with state counterparts to ensure their safety. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti also spoke with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, urging swift intervention. Concern has grown after social media videos showed distressed Kashmiri students being asked to leave hostels.
