Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has given full authority to Western Commanders to strike back if Pakistan violates the ceasefire deal reached on May 10 between both countries' DGMOs. This decision comes after Pakistan’s ceasefire and airspace violations on the night of May 10–11. The Army said the authority covers action in the kinetic domain, meaning military force, including firing. India considers any future terror act from Pakistan an act of war. After the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 tourists, India launched missile strikes on terror and military targets across Pakistan, including Sialkot, Chaklala, and Rahim Yar Khan.
