Vice Admiral AN Pramod revealed that the Indian Navy was fully prepared to strike key Pakistani targets, including Karachi, during Operation Sindoor launched on May 7. Speaking at a joint military briefing, he said the Navy maintained a decisive forward position in the Arabian Sea, forcing Pakistan’s naval units to stay near their harbours. India’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 civilians, included air and ground precision strikes, while the Navy conducted combat drills and remained on standby.
