For the first time in 19 days, no shelling or firing was reported along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on Saturday evening. The Army confirmed that the night of May 11 remained peaceful across Jammu and Kashmir. Areas like Poonch’s Surankot, which witnessed intense shelling, are now returning to normal. Visuals from multiple cities show restored normalcy. In Chandigarh, restrictions have been lifted. However, late Saturday, Pakistan launched limited missile and drone attacks post-ceasefire. Despite that, Sunday night’s calm signals a hopeful shift towards de-escalation. (PC: India Today)
