Brief by Shorts91 Newsdesk / 05:53am on 12 May 2025,Monday India

Following the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan, 32 Indian airports that were shut due to military tensions are set to reopen. The closures, including airports in Chandigarh, Srinagar, Amritsar, and Leh, were enforced after India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting terror camps in Pakistan. Airspace restrictions affected 25 flight routes and were initially set until May 11 but later extended till May 15. With tensions easing after the ceasefire agreement, flight operations are expected to resume gradually. The move is aimed at restoring normalcy and ensuring smooth civilian air travel across affected regions. (PC: PTI)
