On Sunday, amid escalating India-Pakistan tensions during Operation Sindoor, a group of 10-15 protesters attacked Karachi Bakery's Shamshabad outlet in Hyderabad, demanding a name change. Wearing saffron scarves and holding tricolour flags, they raised anti-Pakistan slogans and attempted to damage the bakery's signboard. Videos showed the nameboard partially covered with a cloth, with police present but no major damage reported. A complaint has been filed against the protesters for blocking the outlet's entry. Owners Rajesh and Harish Ramnani emphasized that Karachi Bakery is a 100% Indian brand, founded in 1953 by their grandfather Khanchand Ramnani after migrating from Karachi post-Partition. They appealed to authorities to support retaining the bakery's name.
