Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the nation at 8 PM today, marking his first public statement since India initiated Operation Sindoor on May 7. This military operation targeted nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, resulting in the elimination of at least 100 terrorists. The operation was a direct response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, predominantly tourists. Earlier today, PM Modi convened a high-level meeting with key officials, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, and the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, to assess the situation ahead of scheduled talks between the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan.
