Employees at OpenAI, an artificial intelligence startup, have issued a threat to resign en masse unless the current board steps down, as revealed in a letter obtained by Reuters. The move came after OpenAI board Sacked CEO Sam Altman citing Lack of confidence. The letter, signed by around 500 staff members, including key figures like Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati, Chief Data Scientist Ilya Sutskever, and Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap, outlines their intention to join former CEO Sam Altman at Microsoft's new division if the board does not resign. OpenAI has not yet responded to Reuters' request for comment on the matter.
