The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a significant change in the playing conditions for the remaining league matches of IPL 2025. Effective from May 20, each match will now have an additional 120 minutes allocated to accommodate potential weather interruptions, aligning with the existing provision for playoff games. This adjustment aims to minimize match cancellations due to rain, ensuring a fair outcome and enhancing the fan experience. The revised conditions will be implemented starting with the Chennai Super Kings vs. Rajasthan Royals match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Additionally, due to monsoon concerns, certain fixtures have been relocated, including the May 23 game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad, now set to be played in Lucknow.
