Assistant Sub-Inspector Moti Ram Jat of the CRPF has been arrested by the NIA for allegedly spying for Pakistan since 2023. He was transferred out of Pahalgam just six days before a deadly terror attack killed 26 civilians. Jat reportedly shared classified information, including army movement and security details, with Pakistani intelligence in exchange for money. Dismissed from service on May 21, Jat was arrested in Delhi and remanded to NIA custody till June 6. His arrest is part of a wider crackdown on a Pak-linked spy ring, which has led to 13 arrests across northern India in recent weeks. (PC: PTI)
