On May 26, 2025, a Delhi court accepted the Delhi Police's closure report, effectively terminating the sexual harassment case filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The case, initiated by a minor wrestler, had been a focal point of nationwide protests in 2023. During an in-chamber proceeding on August 1, 2023, the minor informed the judge of her satisfaction with the police investigation and did not oppose the closure report. The court's acceptance signifies that the police findings were deemed sufficient to conclude the investigation without proceeding to trial. (PC: PTI)
