The IMD has warned of thunderstorms in South Bengal and hailstorms in parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Kolkata and Salt Lake saw sharp showers on Tuesday night. Salt Lake recorded 81.3 mm of rain. Cooch Behar had the highest rainfall in the state at 139 mm. Heavy rain may continue in North Bengal until Thursday morning. Delhi is under a yellow alert, with winds up to 50 kmph and high humidity.
