On June 6, 2025, the Karnataka High Court issued an interim order preventing any coercive action against the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) in connection with the tragic stampede outside Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4, which resulted in 11 deaths and 56 injuries. Justice SR Krishna Kumar directed KSCA officials to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation and not to leave the court's jurisdiction without permission. The KSCA, along with Royal Challengers Bengaluru and DNA Entertainment, faces charges of criminal negligence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The next hearing is scheduled for June 10. (PC: AP)
