A private helicopter en route to Kedarnath with six passengers made an emergency landing on a highway near Guptkashi, Uttarakhand, on Saturday due to a technical snag. The AW119 chopper, operated by Kestrel Aviation, took off from Badasu (Sersi) helipad at 12:52 PM and faced suspected collective control issues shortly after. Pilot Captain RPS Sodhi safely executed a hard landing near the Bharasu helipad. All passengers are unharmed, but the pilot reported back pain and is under medical care. DGCA has dispatched an air safety team to investigate. Other Kedarnath helicopter operations continue uninterrupted, according to UCADA officials. (PC: News18)
