A kidney transplant patient from Jalgaon, Sheetal Borde, was flown to Mumbai on Deputy CM Eknath Shinde’s chartered plane late Friday night after missing her flight. Borde had received an urgent call for a transplant but risked losing the organ if not in Mumbai by midnight. Upon learning of the situation, Shinde, present in Jalgaon for the Ashadhi Wari event, intervened. With help from WRD Minister Girish Mahajan, necessary aviation protocols were cleared, including medical checks for pilots. The flight departed at 9:50 PM, ensuring Borde reached on time.
