Sonam Raghuvanshi, 24, surrendered in Ghazipur after allegedly orchestrating her husband Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Married on May 10, the couple traveled to Meghalaya on May 21. Just three days post-wedding, Sonam and her lover, Raj Kushwaha, reportedly plotted the crime, sharing live location with three hired assailants. Raja’s body, found June 2 in a deep gorge near Cherrapunji, bore fatal head wounds. Investigators say Sonam forced him to wear gold jewelry and skipped return tickets—raising suspicion. Following a six‑hour telephonic chat and premeditated planning, Sonam allegedly hired hitmen. She confessed and four men, including her lover and three killers, were arrested. (PC: India Today)
