British singer Ed Sheeran shared a heartfelt story of collaborating with Indian music icon Arijit Singh for his new track “Sapphire.” Sheeran revealed he first heard Arijit’s voice in Aashiqui 2 and reached out to him. Their friendship blossomed, leading to a special visit to Arijit’s hometown in West Bengal. Alongside his father, Ed took a river barge ride, visited Arijit’s studio, and rode a scooter through the village at sunset. They completed the track together and even recorded a Punjabi version. Ed called the collaboration a “core memory” and praised Arijit as “one of the most talented humans ever.”
