By 20th May, newlyweds Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi from Indore went on a honeymoon to Meghalaya. After trekking to Nongriat, they checked out May 23 but Raja vanished and his body was found June 2 at Wei Sawdong Falls. Police discovered Sonam’s mangalsutra and ring in a homestay suitcase in Sohra, triggering suspicion that she orchestrated the murder with three hired gunmen. According to Meghalaya Police, Sonam lured Raja out under the guise of a photo shoot before the killers ambushed him. Investigators say Sonam aided in disposing of the body.
