Experts say the Air India crash in Ahmedabad on June 12 may have happened due to both engines failing. The pilot had sent a “Mayday” call, which usually means total engine failure. The plane, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, crashed minutes after takeoff, killing all 242 people on board. It hit a hostel mess inside BJ Medical College, possibly killing people on the ground too. A student said he was having lunch nearby when the crash happened. His friend, who was closer, is now in hospital. Officials say it is too early to confirm the exact cause of the crash. (PC: AFP)
