CCTV footage has confirmed Air India Flight AI171 was airborne for just 27 seconds before crashing near Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, en route to London, crashed into the BJ Medical College hostel mess during lunchtime, killing several and injuring many on the ground. At least 50-60 MBBS students were hospitalized; 4-5 remain missing. The DGCA reported a Mayday call before communication was lost. The Tata Group has announced ₹1 crore compensation per victim. Home Minister Amit Shah assured full Central aid. The airport remains shut as rescue and investigation efforts continue.
