A London-bound Air India flight crashed in Ahmedabad on Thursday, killing 241 of the 242 people onboard. The lone survivor, British national Vishwashkumar Ramesh, is being treated in hospital. “Thirty seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise,” he told reporters. Eyewitnesses described smoke, flames, and debris scattered across roads. “It sounded like a bomb blast,” one man said. Residents rushed to help but found charred bodies near the wreckage. Candlelight vigils and prayer ceremonies were held in Patna and Siliguri to honour the victims.
