The UK government plans to ban pro-Palestinian group Palestine Action under anti-terrorism laws following attacks on military aircraft. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced the move after two activists damaged RAF Voyager planes at Brize Norton with paint and crowbars, accusing the group of endangering national security. If parliament approves the order on June 30, membership or promotion of Palestine Action could lead to 14 years in prison. The group has targeted UK-based sites linked to Israeli defence firm Elbit Systems since 2023. Palestine Action called the ban "unhinged" and vowed to challenge it, claiming Britain supports Israel’s Gaza offensive. (PC: Reuters)
