At least 2 people died and over 15 are feared missing after multiple cloudbursts triggered flash floods in Himachal Pradesh on June 25. Torrential rain in Kangra and Kullu districts caused rivers to swell, sweeping away workers at a hydroelectric site near Dharamshala. Several homes, bridges, and vehicles were damaged in Manikaran, Banjar, Gadsa, and Sainj valleys. Water sports in Kullu were suspended. The IMD issued an orange alert across multiple districts for heavy rain through June 29. Authorities have launched rescue operations while issuing advisories warning residents to stay away from rivers, slopes, and vulnerable structures. (PC: The Indian Express)
