Monojit Mishra (31), nicknamed “Mango,” is the prime accused in the June 25 gang‑rape of a 24‑year‑old student at South Calcutta Law College. A former TMCP leader turned contractual staff, Mishra allegedly lured victims—including the survivor—with the repeated line, “Tui amay biye korbi?” (Will you marry me?). According to juniors, he displayed psychopathic predatory behavior, circulating intimate content without consent . The survivor stated she was locked in a guard’s room, assaulted with a hockey stick, and filmed during the attack .
