Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol confirmed that sabotage is a key angle in the probe into the Air India crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, which killed 274 people. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is leading the investigation, examining black box data and CCTV footage. The crash of flight AI 171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, followed simultaneous engine failure—called a “rare case” by the minister. Only one passenger survived. Mohol said the final report is expected within 3 months, and reassured the public that Air India’s Dreamliner fleet passed recent safety checks by DGCA. (PC: News18)
