India reached 98/2 at lunch on Day 1 of the 2nd Test against England at Edgbaston, with Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring an aggressive 62* off 59 balls. His knock came after a fiery on-field exchange with England captain Ben Stokes during the 17th over. KL Rahul was dismissed early for 2, but an 80-run stand between Jaiswal and Karun Nair (31) steadied the innings. Brydon Carse struck just before the break to remove Nair, giving England a slight edge. Earlier, Stokes won the toss and opted to bowl first.
