On July 5 around 8 am, a bus in the Pahalgam-bound Amarnath Yatra convoy suffered brake failure near Chanderkote in Ramban district, Jammu & Kashmir, colliding with four stationary buses at a langar stop . Thirty-six pilgrims—men, women, children, and sadhus—sustained minor injuries. Local authorities and CRPF provided immediate medical care; all were treated at Ramban district hospital and later rejoined the pilgrimage after transfers to replacement buses . Jammu LG Manoj Sinha assured safety measures across the yatra route following the incident. (PC: PTI)
