After being stranded for 22 days, the British Royal Navy’s F-35B fighter jet was finally moved from Thiruvananthapuram airport on Sunday. The jet had made an emergency landing on June 14 due to bad weather and low fuel. A hydraulic failure later prevented its departure. A British technical team arrived in an RAF A400M Atlas aircraft and assessed the jet before moving it to a hangar. Earlier, the Royal Navy had declined hangar access. The fighter, part of HMS Prince of Wales’ group, became a meme sensation during its stay. The Indian Air Force had provided refuelling and logistical support. (PC: India Today)
