Indian captain Shubman Gill addressed criticism after India’s emphatic 336-run win over England in the 2nd Test at Edgbaston. Following fielding errors in the first Test, Gill said, “We’re not going to drop that many catches every match.” He praised the bowlers, especially Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep, for their discipline and effort. “Our bowling and fielding were tremendous,” Gill added, lauding Prasidh Krishna’s role too. On his own form, he said he felt “comfortable” and hoped his contributions would help win the series.
