Australia captain Pat Cummins criticised the Edgbaston pitch after India’s big 336-run win over England in the second Test. “Who would want to be a bowler over there?” he said, calling it one of the flattest pitches in England. Shubman Gill, who was Player of the Match, also blamed the Dukes’ ball. “It gets soft too quickly. It’s hard for bowlers,” he said. England captain Ben Stokes said the pitch behaved like a sub-continent wicket. With the series now level at 1-1, the third Test will be played at Lord’s on July 10. Bowlers hope for better support from pitch and ball. (PC: AP)
