Novak Djokovic advanced to his 14th Wimbledon semi-final after defeating Italy’s Flavio Cobolli in four sets: 6-7(6-8), 6-2, 7-5, 6-4. The 24-time Grand Slam champion tied Chris Evert’s record of 52 Grand Slam semi-final appearances in the Open Era. The Serbian ace will now face World No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who beat Ben Shelton in straight sets. Djokovic praised 23-year-old Cobolli, calling him “one of the guys we’ll be seeing much more.” Djokovic hit 51 winners, overcoming early resistance and a late slip to seal the win after 3 hours and 11 minutes on Centre Court.
