India suffered a major setback on Day 1 of the 3rd Test against England at Lord’s as Rishabh Pant left the field in pain after injuring his left hand. The wicketkeeper-batter was struck on the fingertips while collecting a delivery from Jasprit Bumrah in the 34th over. Despite receiving treatment, Pant could not continue and was replaced by Dhruv Jurel. Earlier, Nitish Reddy gave India hope by removing both England openers, Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley, in the same over. However, Joe Root and Ollie Pope have stabilized England’s innings. India’s fielding and injury woes continue to mount.
