World No. 1 Iga Swiatek stormed into her maiden Wimbledon final, defeating Belinda Bencic 6-2, 6-0 in just 71 minutes on Centre Court. The Polish star, previously never beyond the quarterfinals at the All England Club, showcased grass-court dominance with 26 winners and an 83% first-serve win rate. Swiatek is now the first Polish woman in a Wimbledon final since Agnieszka Radwanska in 2012. She will face American Amanda Anisimova, who earlier upset Aryna Sabalenka, in Saturday’s final. “I never dreamt it would be possible,” Swiatek said post-match, aiming to add her sixth Grand Slam and first Wimbledon title.
