A small plane crashed at London Southend Airport in Essex, sparking a huge fireball and thick black smoke, visuals on social media showed. Police confirmed a “serious incident” and urged people to avoid the area. The aircraft was reportedly headed to Lelystad, Netherlands. Emergency services, including four ambulances, rushed to the scene. MP David Burton-Sampson urged the public to stay away. Nearby golf and rugby clubs were evacuated as a precaution.
