Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was reportedly injured during Israeli strikes on a secret underground facility in Tehran on June 16. According to Iran’s Fars news agency, close to the Revolutionary Guard, six bombs targeted entry points of the Supreme National Security Council site, leaving Pezeshkian with leg injuries while escaping through an emergency shaft. Israel has not commented. Iran claims infiltration by Israeli agents is under investigation. The attack occurred during Israel’s surprise offensive on Iran’s military and nuclear sites. US forces later struck additional facilities on June 22. Iran denies pursuing nuclear weapons, insisting its enrichment is peaceful. (PC: BBC)
