Fauja Singh, the world’s oldest marathon runner, passed away at 114 in a road accident in Punjab’s Beas village. Born in 1911, Singh couldn’t walk until age five but later ran nine full marathons, starting at 89. He gained global fame after completing the Toronto Marathon at 100 and featured in Adidas’ “Impossible is Nothing” campaign. Singh used running to cope with personal loss and inspired millions by breaking age stereotypes. He received the British Empire Medal and Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and was a London Olympics torchbearer. Punjab Governor Kataria called him a “symbol of resilience.” Tributes poured in, celebrating his legacy of strength, hope, and determination. (PC: Wikipedia)
