Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla’s family celebrated his safe return from the Axiom-4 mission with tears, cake, and smiles. After 18 days on the ISS, Shukla landed safely near San Diego. His mother, Asha Shukla, said, “My son has safely returned. I thank God.” His father, Shambu Dayal Shukla, said the family felt proud of his success. Raised in a middle-class Lucknow home, Shukla joined the IAF in 2006. His space journey reportedly cost India $70 million and was supported by ISRO, NASA, and Axiom Space.
