India ended Day 1 of the 4th Test against England at 264/4 in Manchester. The day was strong for India but ended with a big setback. Rishabh Pant got badly hurt after a ball hit his right foot during a reverse sweep off Chris Woakes. His toe started bleeding, and he had to leave the field in an ambulance. Ravindra Jadeja replaced him. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 58, and Sai Sudharsan made 61. KL Rahul added 46. At stumps, Jadeja and Shardul Thakur were both on 19.
