In a meticulously planned 14-day operation, Indian forces killed Pahalgam terror attack mastermind Suleiman Shah—alias Hashim Musa—near Mahadev Peak in Srinagar. Codenamed Operation Mahadev, the mission neutralised three high-value foreign terrorists hiding in Dachigam’s dense forests. Shah, a former commando of Pakistan Army’s elite SSG unit, had joined Lashkar-e-Taiba under Hafiz Saeed. Intelligence inputs and encrypted radio intercepts led the Army and J&K Police to the hideout. Seized arms included AK-47s, carbines, and 17 rifle grenades. Security forces believe the terrorists were planning another major strike in Jammu & Kashmir, marking this a critical blow to cross-border terror networks. (PC: NDTV)
