The Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police killed three terrorists, including Pahalgam attack mastermind Hashim Musa, in Operation Mahadev. The joint operation was launched after a satellite phone signal was traced to the Dachigam forest. The terrorists, linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, were caught off guard while resting in a tent. Sources said the trio was under watch for 14 days. Musa, also known as Abu Suleman, was believed to have changed his appearance to escape detection. The April 2025 Pahalgam attack killed 26 civilians.
