At least 5 Al Jazeera journalists were killed in an Israeli strike near Gaza City’s Al-Shifa Hospital, the network said. Among them were correspondents Anas al-Sharif, 28, and Mohammed Qreiqeh, along with cameramen Ibrahim Zaher, Moamen Aliwa, and Mohammed Noufal. Israel confirmed targeting al-Sharif, alleging he led a Hamas cell and “posed as a journalist.” Al-Sharif’s final post read, “If these words reach you, know Israel succeeded in killing me.” The Committee to Protect Journalists condemned the attack, accusing Israel of labelling journalists as militants without credible evidence.
