Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said an inquiry will be conducted into the Mumbai monorail incident that left 442 passengers stranded for hours amid heavy rain. He assured that all passengers were safely rescued and promised strict action after the probe. The incident occurred when an overcrowded train got stuck due to a power failure between Chembur and Bhakti Park. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Mumbai and nearby districts, warning of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. Authorities have urged residents to stay indoors unless necessary. (PC: PTI)
