In anticipation of astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla's return to Lucknow on August 25, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has prioritized development works in Triveni Nagar, where Shukla resides. The ₹25 lakh project includes reconstructing a 150-meter stretch of road, enhancing drainage systems to prevent waterlogging, and laying a new water pipeline. While beautification is not part of the current plan, officials have indicated it may be considered in the future. Additionally, LMC plans to name the renovated road and a nearby park after Shukla, honoring his achievement as the first Indian to visit the International Space Station. (PC: Hindustan Times)
