the Congress party has secured a significant lead in the Telangana Assembly elections, maintaining its position on 70 seats out of the 119-seat assembly. The ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) follows with gains on 38 seats, while the BJP and AIMIM are trailing with leads in 8 and 3 seats, respectively. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is leading in one of his contested constituencies, while BJP's Eatala Rajendar is trailing. The battle for the majority mark of 60 seats intensifies as Telangana witnesses a potential political shift. BRS has loosen control over the state for the first time since its birth in 2014.
