Israel carried out airstrikes on Yemen’s capital Sana’a on Sunday, targeting areas controlled by Houthi rebels. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it struck military infrastructure, including fuel storage sites, power plants, and a military complex near the presidential palace. Loud explosions were heard across the city, and residents reported damage. The strikes came after Houthis fired newly equipped missiles, including cluster bombs, toward Israel. While no damage was reported in Israel, the IDF said the Houthis act with Iranian support. The group has also targeted ships in the Red Sea, disrupting trade worth nearly $1 trillion annually.
