The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on the way to a thumping victory in Madhya Pradesh leading in 161 out of the 230 Assembly seats. While the BJP is set to gain 52+ seats from the last 2018 elections, the Congress faces a devastating loss of 48+ seats from the last polls and is poised to reach 66 seats. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's leadership stood pivotal in the giant vistory. While celebrations ensue in the BJP camp, Chouhan said, "Modi ji MP ke mann mein hain aur Modi ji ke mann mein MP hai. (Modi-ji is in MP's heart, and MP is in Modi's)" while attributing this victory to welfare schemes like the 'ladli behena' scheme for women.
