Shubman Gill, India’s Test captain, and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah have cleared the pre-season fitness test at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. ODI captain Rohit Sharma and other players, including Mohammed Siraj, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Washington Sundar, and Shardul Thakur, also passed the tests. Apart from the Yo-Yo test, a DXA scan was done to check bone strength. Gill, recovering from fever, will travel to Dubai for the Asia Cup starting September 9. Jaiswal and Washington are on standby, while Thakur will play the Duleep Trophy semifinal for West Zone. Dhruv Jurel is still under medical watch. (PC: AFP)
