A cargo ropeway carrying construction materials at Pavagadh Shaktipeeth in Gujarat’s Panchmahal district snapped mid-air on September 6, killing six people, including two lift operators, two workers, and two others aboard . The incident occurred around 3:30 pm near the base support tower as the trolley descended . Rescue teams, including police and the fire brigade, swiftly recovered the bodies for postmortem, and suspended the nearby passenger ropeway amid safety concerns .
