Sudan Gurung, 36, president of youth NGO Hami Nepal, has become the main face of Nepal’s Gen Z revolt. The protests erupted after the government banned 26 social media platforms, sparking Nepal’s deadliest youth uprising in years. At least 20 people were killed and more than 300 injured in violent clashes in Kathmandu and other cities. Gurung, once an event organiser, turned to activism after losing his child in the 2015 earthquake. He urged students to join rallies in uniforms with books as symbols of peaceful protest. His leadership has inspired thousands demanding justice and free speech. (PC: India Today)
